A course in epistemology addressing questions about what knowledge is and how we justify our knowledge claims. Major theories of truth based upon ideas of correspondence, coherence, and pragmatism will be examined. Other topics will include: relativism, skepticism, foundationalism, naturalized epistemology, the myth of the given, etc. Prerequisites: PH 112A and another course in philosophy or the permission of the instructor. Three hours per week.
