A course designed for the listener to music (not the musician) to help understand how music is put together, what to expect in a symphony, a sonata, an opera, etc., and how to be able to listen with understanding and greater enjoyment. Form will be discussed in layman’s terms; through the use of examples, form will become audibly intelligible to the student. Satisfies the humanities distribution requirement. Three hours a week.
