This is a beginning acting class for those with little or no experience on the stage. This course explores the basic concepts of acting, improvisation, script analysis and rehearsal techniques through class exercises, work with text, written assignments and readings. This course seeks to impart an understanding of the primary physical, emotional, and intellectual skills needed to become an actor. Emphasis will be given to character analysis, as well as the critical skills needed to evaluate performance. Satisfies the humanities distribution requirement.
