A study of the world's major realms and regions. Major emphasis is placed upon mastering an understanding of the geographical characteristics distinctive to each of the earth's various realms and regions. The Five Themes of Geopgraphy: location geography, cultural geography, political geography, economic geography and physical geography are highlighted. This course will introduce the students to both the "Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Geography" and "Geography for Life: National Geography Standards."
