An introductory studio focusing on the fundamentals of acting including basic skills for stage communication, voice, and movement; involves centering and exercises designed to increase physical and emotional stamina, identify and strengthen technique, develop focus and concentration, and introduce the student to the demands of the theater. In the process of demystifying the craft, the student discovers the energy, power, and vulnerability of self. Formerly TH 103A Prerequisites & Notes Open to Acting, Applied Theater Arts and Musical Theater majors only. Instructor permission required. Credits: 3 cr, 6 hrs
