4 Credits (3,3) This course covers fundamental chemical and physical properties of matter, the concept of the mole, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, solutions, examination of atomic structure and bonding with some historical background, properties of gases, liquids and solids, and molecular interactive forces. The accompanying laboratory illustrates some of the principles learned in lecture and emphasizes general laboratory techniques. Students may not receive credit for both this course and SC 125.
