Description:
This course offers the student a chance to study many of the important theories behind image production and its effectiveness. The class will survey the work of several significant photographers, filmmakers, and television artists. There is an emphasis on the formal elements of the still and moving images and their psychological and aesthetic effects. Students will have the chance to discuss the history and development of visual image production spanning from the pre-technological era to the present, with a view toward understanding the universal nature of the need for visual and conceptual expression among all mediums. Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisite: ENG 110 College Writing I.
