This course offers specific preparation for the future PTA in the areas of orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics and neurology. Course content includes overviews of pathologies, diagnoses, and special healthcare needs of an orthopedic, geriatric, pediatric and neurological client, as well as specific treatment interventions. The integrated lecture-lab component and problem-solving approach facilitates the student's acquisition of hands-on skills. An average of 73% or higher is required to pass this course. Recommended co requisite: PTA 220.
