This course emphasizes mathematical concepts appropriate to the various occupational programs in the business area. Practical applications, problem-solving techniques, and logical reasoning involved in various aspects of mathematics are covered. Topics include simple and compound interest, yields in percents on stocks and bonds, depreciation schedules, and determination of break-even points. Prerequisite: MTH 100 with a grade of C or higher or two years of high school algebra. This course does not fulfill math requirements in all programs. Please check with Program Director.
