Description:
This course will prepare students for their hematology laboratory rotation as part of the hospital practicum by reviewing both standard and specialized hematology tests and applying test results to case studies in order to identify pathologic states of the blood cells. The process of coagulation will also be explored. Students will study the appropriate testing techniques to identify coagulation disorders. Prerequisites: MLS 101, 113.
