This course is designed to give the student knowledge in the basic principles of pharmacology and the drugs used in the current therapy of disease states. Special emphasis is given to those drugs administered or prescribed in the practice of dentistry and also to those drugs whose actions, side effects, or interactions with other drugs are of particular importance to dental medicine. Prerequisites: BIO 103 and 104, DE 131, DH 110 and 111.
