Health promotion and maintenance are stressed. Concepts related to family therapy, consumerism, and advocacy are addressed. Students learn such strategies for improving client health as risk assessment, stress management, nutritional counseling, and health teaching. Includes a clinical practicum. *Prerequisites: All 300-level nursing courses.
