Seen as essential knowledge for the professional nurse, the role of communication in relation to clinical nursing practice, activities of professional membership, and the nurse’s participation in the healthcare delivery system is examined. The course focuses on a theory base for understanding human communication and on skills needed for effective communication as a professional nurse.
