3 credits each Prerequisite for ITA 111: None (not open to students with previous knowledge of the language except with permission of the director). Prerequisite for ITA 112: ITA 111 or equivalent. Students who failed to get a C – or higher in level I are not able to continue to level II. A communicative approach to the basic elements of the language including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture. Work in the language laboratory is required.
