The structure and functions of biomacromolecules: proteins, nucleic acids, and polysaccharides; enzyme kinetics and bioenergetics. Laboratory includes the analytical techniques of biochemistry: spectrophotometry, chromatography, and electrophoresis. Three class periods and one laboratory period a week.
