3 credits This course will investigate the biology of AIDS and HIV-1. Practical information regarding HIV-1 transmission, risk factors for contracting AIDS, and AIDS testing will be presented. The biology of AIDS pathogenesis, the activity of anti-HIV-1 drugs, and the epidemiology of AIDS will also be explored. Lecture only.
