Students examine the component parts of drama and an overview of its development from its origins to more contemporary experiments. An understanding and appreciation of this genre is developed through a close analysis of plays by masters of the form. When possible, attendance at professional productions is arranged. Prerequisite: ENG 101 (with a minimum grade of C) or placement into ENG 102. (English Literature Core Course)
