Emphasizes increasing accuracy and depth of communicative abilities and cultural understanding through group and individual work, presentations, oral exercises, reading and writing assignments. Requires laboratory-supported practice. Instruction occurs in French. Students express themselves orally and in writing, read authentic sources, and understand native speech at the intermediate level. Instructor determines final placement.
