This elective course adds a new dimension to healthcare education through its focus on the management of risk and potential financial loss and exposures when delivering health care. Teaching risk management skills will enable students to understand the process of health care delivery so that effectual institutional risk management can take place. Discussions will include: protecting the institution, protection of personal assets, and how liability can be kept at a minimum. Lecture, 3 hours. Offered As Needed.
