A course for beginners in the literature of the Hebrew Bible. Particular emphasis will be directed to the Pentateuch, especially the Book of Genesis. Special attention will be paid to the archeology, sociology, anthropology and geography of the Bible as keys to interpretation. Prerequisite: REL 109 or permission of instructor or Department Chair.
