This course will introduce students to the fundamental aspects of Sport Management, with a special focus on the history of sport, sport governance, sport organizations and education, and the impact of sport on economics. Students will explore philosophy as it relates to the value of sport (outcomes management) and the formulation of personal & professional goals (careers and professions-life's work). An important outcome of this course is to have students recognize the influence of sport management upon the basic quality of the sport experience and its value in society. 3.000 Credit Hours
