This course prepares participants to be successful art educators in a school setting (K-12). Emphasis will be upon the development of teaching strategies, methods, curriculum and materials for the aspiring teacher. Pre-service art teachers will learn to integrate art across the school curriculum and to help youngsters achieve the Maine Learning Results. The planning and teaching of lessons and thematic units is an integral part of this course. Field study required. (Cross-listed with EDU 541)
