The Armed Forces as an integral element of society. The broad range of U.S. civil-military relations and the environmental context in which defense policy is formulated and implemented. Lecture, 3 hours; laboratory, 1 hour. 3 credits each. ARMY ROTC - Military Science The student selects either a four-year or a two-year ROTC sequence of courses taught by Army officers at the University of Connecticut. Students wishing to enroll in the two-year program must contact the Army ROTC during the second semester of their sophomore year. Up to 6 credits may be transferred to Southern and counted toward degree requirements as free electives. Interested students should contact the Army ROTC 486- 4538 at Storrs.
