Biological inheritance in organisms from virus to man. Emphasis is on design and analysis of experiments. Topics include the chemistry of the genes and gene action, cytogenetics, genes in development, and the genetic basis of evolution. Lecture, 3 hours; laboratory, 2 hours. Prerequisites: one year of biology, CHE 120 and MAT 108. 4 credits.
