Advanced treatment of the principles, methods, and tools of geology emphasizing the materials that constitute the earth and the processes that act or have acted on them. Required of all prospective geology majors; recommended for those strongly interested in science. Satisfies GE, category B3 (Physical Sciences, Specific Emphasis) and laboratory requirements. Prerequisite: GEOL 102; strong science background recommended.
