The appearance and aesthetic qualities of public open spaces, streets, buildings, neighborhoods, city gateways, signs, and other elements of the urban scene. Creating a sense of place. The effects of public policy and regulations on urban form. The scale, pattern, and image of urban form elements. Planning for new communities, historic preservation, urban plazas, and public art. Prerequisite: ENSP 310 is recommended.
