Emphasis is placed upon the morphological basis for progressively higher levels of control of activity from the simple reflex to voluntary motor activities controlled by the cerebral cortex. This type of knowledge is required for proper understanding and performance of physical therapy technicians in the treatment of medical and surgical disease.
