Emphasis is on understanding the molecular basis of cell function and structure; the experimental bases of our knowledge; and connections between cell biology and organismal physiology (including causes of human genetic diseases). Labs focus on analytical methods used in cell biological research. Major credit. Lecture and one laboratory period each week.
