Introduction to the basic measurement and reporting concepts underlying the acccounting system for communicating financial information to users external to the organization and to internal managers. Topics include information processing, preparation of financial statements, the role of ethics in accounting decisions, analysis of financial data, and valuation and reporting issues for assets, liabilities, stockholders' equity, revenues, and expenses.
