System of real numbers, algebraic fractions, ratio and proportions, factoring, first and second degree equations, exponents, and graphing of simple algebraic expressions. (4 cr. hrs.) (Fall, Spring). Prerequisite: MATH 0960 or placement. Cannot also receive credit for the MATH 1011, 1012 sequence which is equivalent to this course.
