WELD 110 - Welding for the Trade II

Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in WELD 100. This course is a continuation of WELD 100. Emphasis will be placed on structural fabrication. Projects will be built to specific blueprint specifications. Time will also be devoted to preparing students for AWS (American Welding Society) Certification. Other welding and general shop techniques such as plasma arc cutting, shop layout, and basic machining will be introduced. Students will devote a major portion of lab time developing skills in all out of position welds. 3 lecture hours, 17 laboratory hours.
