Prerequisite: SURV 150. The detailed study of control type surveys including instrumentation, speed, accuracy, field procedure and calculations. Special emphasis will be placed on long-line traverse work including radial side shot and inversing type surveys as well as the error analysis of data. Propagation of errors, least squares analysis and theoretical uncertainty will be studied. Manual and electronic collection of data and its analysis will be ongoing throughout the semester. 1 lecture hour, 9 laboratory hours.
