Prerequisites: Admission to the Surgical Assisting Program. This eight-week course, offered the first half of the semester, correlates human anatomy and physiology with surgical techniques employed by the surgeon and the surgical assistant. It includes surgical procedures, approaches, and wound closures as these relate to specific anatomical structures and landmarks.
