This course is designed to provide an introduction to higher education and an on-going orientation to VU resources, academic skills and social issues. Emphasis is placed on helping new students adjust to college life, and establish skills needed to succeed academically and socially. In addition, development of career goals, orientation to career options, and portfolio development will be components of the course. Students will be engaged in a variety of discussions with reading assignments. 2 lecture hours.
