Prerequisites: Successful completion of READ 011, or recentered SAT Verbal score of (R)420 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores, and successful completion of POLS 201. This course is designed as a capstone course for all Pre-Law majors as a requirement for graduation. The course evaluates the growth of modern nationstates, the causes of conflict and war between nations, the impact of war and peace on modern political ideologies, and the economic and social consequences of political action. Emphasis will be placed on a study of current events in a global comparative perspective. The course will emphasize critical thinking and comparative analysis through essay and research paper evaluations built into the course format. This course is a transferIN course. 3 lecture hours.
