Prerequisite: For Physical Education majors only; and successful completion of READ 011, or recentered SAT Verbal score of (R)420 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores. Fundamental motor development needs of elementary school children with emphasis on teaching methods, organization, equipment, and activities essential to elementary school physical education programs. Provides opportunities to observe and teach young children in structured situations. Includes demonstration and teaching of games, basic skills, rhythms, and other movement activities. Open to elementary and physical education majors only. 3 lecture hours.
