Prerequisite: OADM 219. Emphasis is on the use of word processing software to process various medical histories, consultation reports, discharge summaries, etc. with related vocabulary expansion throughout. The use of advanced taped dictation, which includes some foreign accents, will enable the student to acquire skill in transcribing as well as building speed in the completion of various documents on computers. Emphasis will be on employment standards with accuracy and neatness stressed. 3 lecture/laboratory hours.
