MTTD 225 - CNC Programming and Operations II

Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in MTTD 115 and MTTL 115. Corequisite: MTTL 225. In this course, students will program, set-up, and manufacture parts on CNC machine tools. All parts will be programmed utilizing manual (G-code) and CAD-CAM systems. Emphasis will be placed on programming efficiency, proper set-ups, accuracy, cutter selection, speeds, feeds, carbide tooling, the wire EDM, troubleshooting and interpretation of CNC code. 4 lecture hours.
