Prerequisite: Junior level standing or consent of the instructor. Corequisite: MILL 301. This course is designed for those students who contract with the Army ROTC to continue their military studies in pursuit of a commission as an officer into the Army following graduation from college. The course focus is to build cadet leadership competencies in preparation for attending and completing the ROTC National Advanced Leadership Camp at Fort Lewis, Washington. The course provides an in-depth review of the features and execution of the Leadership Development Program, and provides the cadet with periodic assessment of performance in leadership positions. Students will study squad and platoon level tactics, troop leading procedures, mission analysis, land navigation skills training, military operations plans and orders development, execution of squad battle drills, and basic briefing techniques. 3 lecture hours.
