Prerequisite: MATA 102 with a C or better grade. This course is designed specifically for Associated Builders and Contractors Association Apprenticeship Students. This course is a continuation of algebra skills development to include symbolism, signed numbers, algebraic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, powers, and roots. Students will solve algebraic equations using the principles of equality for subtraction, addition, and division. Students will also solve equations using the multiplication, root, and power principles of equality. Ratio and proportion as well as direct and inverse proportions will be covered. 1 lecture hour.
