Prerequisites: LFSC 105/106 and CHEM 105/106. Corequisite: LFSL 211; and enrollment in CHEM 215 is recommended. A study of human function, emphasizing physiology of human tissues and systems. Relevant aspects of anatomy and histology are also included. Application of elements of anatomy and physiology to medical practices provides a rationale for prediction of symptoms and treatment of diseases. Topics include histophysiology of cells and tissues, and the anatomy and physiology of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous system. Pre- Physical Therapy majors (4062) only may complete additional assignments and use this course to satisfy the Speaking Intensive requirement. (See course instructor for details.) 3 lecture hours.
