Prerequisite: Successful completion of READ 011, or recentered SAT Verbal score of (R)420 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores. Administration of police line and support operations, including patrol as basic operation of police function, investigation of delinquent and criminal offenders, traffic control, intelligence and other special operational units. Manpower distribution, analysis of operations, enforcement policy, operations during civil disorders and disasters. The role of the police officer in achieving and maintaining public support, human relations, public information, relationship with violators and complainants. 3 lecture hours.
