Prerequisite: Successful completion of READ 011, or recentered SAT Verbal score of (R)420 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores. Acquaints prospective teachers with basic personal health information and gives the student a basis for self-direction of health behavior. Emphasizes individual citizen and teacher responsibilities. Provides physiological and psychological basis for health attitudes and practices including drugs, family health, and other critical issues. 3 lecture hours.
