Prerequisite: MATH 118. Corequisite: ENGS 217. Fundamental properties of electric circuits. Ohm's law, Kirchoff's laws, mesh and nodal analysis with independent and dependent sources. Superposition, source transformations, Thevenin and Norton equivalency circuits. Transient response of RC, RL, and RLC circuits. Sinusoidal steadystate response and phasor diagrams. Instantaneous power, average power, RMS values and three-phase systems. 3 lecture hours, 1 class hour.
