This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to begin supporting and securing complex computing environments of medium to large companies. Students who complete this course will be able to identify and eliminate security threats related to messaging, database, file and print, proxy server, firewall, public key infrastructure (PKI), Internet, Intranet, remote access, and client computer management services. This course prepares students to take the Microsoft Administering Security in a Microsoft Windows 2003 Network certification exam. 1 lecture hour, 3 laboratory hours.
