Prerequisites: Successful completion of READ 009 and MATH 009, or recentered SAT Verbal score of (R)380 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores. This course offers an introduction to cosmetology with emphasis on basic practical skills and theories including roller control, quick styling, shampooing, hair coloring, permanent waving, facials, manicuring, business and personal ethics, and bacteriology and sanitation. Successful completion of the course requires at least 375 Cosmetology studio hours. 3 lecture hours, 26 studio hours.
