This course stresses and identifies the problem solving and techniques used by programmers. By identifying the logical principles of business applications, the course introduces concepts of systems theory, controls, and quality management of organizations. Project management, group dynamics, and modeling of data are also introduced. Students will understand the process of file creation, updating of files and inquiry. The course stresses the generating of normal business reports required by management. To enhance the acquisition of flowcharting concepts, the BASIC programming language will be introduced. 3 lecture/ laboratory hours.
