Prerequisites: Successful completion of READ 011, or recentered SAT Verbal score of (R) 420 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores, and CIMT/CIML 175. Corequisite: CIML 200. This course covers the applications, programming, servicing, and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with applications in hydraulics, pneumatics, analog, and electrical controls for automated applications. Laboratory experiences include the design and troubleshooting of ladder logic programs. The Allen-Bradley PLC-5/11 and 5/60 processors are applied to control applications using rung programming, rung sequencing, data manipulation, file moves, and subroutines.
