Prerequisites: Students must qualify for READ 011, MATH 011, and ENGL 101. This course will include basic structure, nomenclature and physical/chemical properties of organic and inorganic compound. Students will learn the definitions and conventions used by DOT, OSHA, and EPA as they apply to hazardous materials. Students will learn risk analysis and action plan formation for hazardous chemical incident situations. 2 lecture hours, 2 laboratory hours.
