Prerequisites: C or better in BIOM 200. This course is an advanced continuation of the study of biomedical equipment, which measure biopotentials including the ECG Waveform. A hands-on approach is taken with emphasis on medical devices which include therapeutic equipment, vital signs monitoring systems, RF Telemetry theory and equipment. Infusion delivery systems, stress testing systems, Electro-surgical equipment, Infant Monitoring systems and an overview of various imaging systems. 3 lecture hours, 9 laboratory hours.
